Galaxie 500

This is my newest toy, a 1963
Ford Galaxie 500. I found it on
Ebay initially but went thru the
first auction without meeting
reserve, and getting outbid with 2
seconds to go on the second
listing, that was frustrating...So I
contacted the seller, found out
that it was still for sale, and went
down to Tallahassee to check the
car out. I drove it back that day.
Other than a worn generator, no
dash lights, and too much play in
the steering I had no real
problems on the drive home. It
has a 289 V8, cruisomatic
transmission, a pretty decent
interior, almost all of its trim
intact, and a fairly fresh paint job.
It really floats down the road, I
have never driven anything like it.
All my other vehicles have been
trucks or foreign cars so this is a
real treat for me and the wife to
drive.
