Info on ancestors of Rachel Garrison comes from a message from Garth and Gail Ostrum dated 16 Aug 1999 (see printed copy in notes). Re the information Garth Ostrom writes:
"From some source on the net, I have information concerning a Rachel Garrison m. about 1779 to Cornelius Ostrom ............ This was just interesting information that I was unable to place anywhere with any concrete sources, except that Reformed Dutch Church records were mentioned."
In 1820, a Rachel Garrison was widowed and living in New York City. Source: Mercein's City Directory, New York Register and Almanac. Author/Publisher Wm. A. Mercein, NY, NY 1820., p. 219. Can't tell from this whether the person is Rachel Garrison Ostrom or some other Garrison. ??
