Tipple married Anna George before 1910. Frank W. Tipple married Mayme (?) before 1921.2 Frank W. Tipple died on 20 October 1921 at age 54.3
     According to the Cowen book (Gravestone Inscriptions), Jacob P. Tipple, Sarah M. Hover, Frank W., Anna George (Frank's second wife), and Sadie Bell (?) b. 1886, d. 1906 were grouped together in the cemetery along with Van Slyck, Leggett, Van Valkenburgh, Hadley, many Kittle, Truax, Kline persons. Perhaps Sadie Bell was th twin who died. If so, her twin sister was Bessie H.

In the 1900 Census, Frank is shown as having been born in March 1869. He is single and a farmer, living with his mother Sarah, b. Nov 1829, who had one child (?) and one living.

John L. is noted on Anna's birth certificate as her father. However, in all other records, baptism, confirmation, marriage and death, her father is Frank Tipple.

     Hattie Tipple appeared on the census of 1870.4 Harriet Hoffman purchased a plot at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery and arranged for her family to be buried in it, even having the remains of those who had previously been buried at the Stone Church in Rhinebeck moved. After 1920.5

On the 1865 Census in Milan District 2 Census Index for Dutchess County, Jacob Tipple family is # 174. (A David Tipple family is also noted in same district as Family # 135.)

An entry in the Columbia County Gazeteer, Ghent, p. 241: Jacob P. Tipple (Hudson) farmer 150.

On the 1810 Census for Columbia County, there are Adam, Peter, Jacob and Jacob, Jr. Tipple. Only Adam and Peter had male children under age 10.

On the 1855 Census in Ghent, Jacob P. is in dwelling # 13, Family # 358. He is age 53, has lived in Ghent 53 years, owns land, and lives with Catherine, his mother, age 74 and Edward Tipple, his nephew, age 16 b. Madison County, lived in Ghent 6 yrs.
