High Resolution Printable Reproduction Dust Jackets
These dust jacket images clearly indicate that they are reproductions and cannot be confused with original dust jackets. The purpose of these dust jackets is for the enjoyment of the book's owner, and the protection of the books.
The files below can be downloaded and printed on your printer. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can click on the image you want with the right mouse button, and then select either the "Save Target As" or "Print Target" command. If you select "Save Picture As", you will save the thumbnail, rather than the large printable dust jacket file. If you are using another browser, use the equivalent method normally used to save the files and print them.
We have been delayed in our plans to scan, digitally restore, and produce reproduction copies of the dust jackets of more books that Maida collectors can download and print to protect their books. My wife and I are medically disabled and living on Social Security. Our scanner and our fastest computer both died several months ago. Our remaining computer is a very slow Pentium that will not run the Adobe Photoshop software, which we were using to restore the dust jacket images.
We still appreciate any scanned images of dust jackets that you email to us. As soon as we are able to resume this project, we hope to then be able to restore these images and produce the reproduction dust jackets for both the pre and post World War II versions of the dust jackets. Even if you have dust jackets that are damaged, if you could email scanned images at 300 dpi or greater, we can use these to produce digitally restored copies to reprint. Since very few undamaged dust jackets exist, we hope by combining multiple images to be able to produce high quality, undamaged reproductions that could be downloaded and printed by collectors to protect their books and enjoy these beautiful illustrations that accompanied the books. If you want to email us images, please use compressed TIFF, PNG, PSD, PDD, zipped BMP, or other file formats that do not use "lossless compression". Please try to use a format other than JPG or GIF, since these two formats are very difficult to restore due to the data lost during compression.
