Before it was a park, there was an Electrical Plant near the base of the main falls and it supplied power to Cookeville for many years. Some of the pillars, bridges and caves for the pipes are still there. When you get out of your car, you are at some cascades. Walk ten minutes and you are near the First Falls.

Walk another 20 minutes and you get to the overlook for the Middle Falls.

Walk another 20 minutes and you are to the observation deck for the Big Falls

If you walk down a 10 minute steep trail, you can get really close to the falls. Then if you walk down some metal stairs, you can get this vantage point at the end of the trail. If the water is high enough, it is possible to boat to the bottom of the falls from Cedar Hill Lake.
