This monument is in Lewis County, not far from Hohenwald.  It is located on the Natchez Trace Parkway near mile marker 385.  This monument commemorates where explorer Merriwether Lewis, of Lewis and Clark fame, died in 1809.  In addition to the monument, there is a recreation of the building he was in when he died and a campsite.
