Ironic

Bittersweet irony
Those who give the most need the most
But get the least
Those who get the most
Don't appreciate what they have
Reaching out for a hand to hold
But none there to hold onto
They're all too busy
Buying tickets into their
Own personal heavens on earth
Where they fool themselves
Into thinking the world
Won't go on without them
Where those whom society deems
Insane understand
The world will keep on spinning
Whether they're alive or not
And when they wake up dead
Not a single person will notice
That though they found themselves
Swept into the ever-raging sea
Of society, in the end they were completely
Alone....
