Limits

All I want are a pair of wings.
They needn't be beautiful or elegant.
They need only to lift me,
To allow me to soar through the midnight sky
And into a new dawn.

All I need is to defy gravity.
I need to free myself of this prison.
I need to flutter like the butterfly
To the end of the magnificent rainbow
And into the summer sunset.

All I have is a strong will and stubborn mind.
I have the knowledge of my own limitations,
But I haven't the courage to surpass them,
To break the bonds which tie me to this giant rock
And fly away into my freedom.
