of spectral creatures that attack the target, inflicting a one rank wound at
random. The specters also tug and pull the creature for 1 second per level,
causing round time. Nice lead in to Nightmare, Curse and Animate dead.
I happen to like this idea, but as a lead in to torment and summoning. We
would be summoning a number of (very) lesser demonic 'pests'... can do the same
thing as blood burst but in random locations. They harrow the victim and feed on
their blood, perhaps burrowing (or having a chance to burrow) into the victim
and cause even more interesting things to happen.
It would also be interesting to have them swarm around us, engulfing us in
'a shadowy mass of (insert your favorite descriptor here)/(writhing) shapes' and
following as we move.
Not sure where to place it though, since I don't think we should get rid
of blood burst.

Actually, I do know where to place it - in the Nightmare slot.
Nightmare is an illusion, which is no longer our province. Ramp up the damage
for a 13 mana spell, keep the stuns that Nightmare causes, but base them on
harrowing/feeding/burrowing/the terror of being surrounded by demonic 'things'
wanting to feed on you.
