The Path of the Faendryl

Disclaimer

This is not an official document.  It is only my attempt to add substance to the official Faendryl history.  I feel that the history of the Faendryl that is currently available is much too sparse, especially for one of the most interesting races in Elanthia.  There are too many holes, too many gaps, in the official document.  A number of events mentioned in the histories of other peoples are not even hinted at in the Faendryl documentation – including events that involved the Faendryl.  This document fills in some of those gaps and provides a Faendryl view of the events.

In addition, the newer histories, such as that written for the Sylvans, are much more detailed and provide greater depth from which to build a solid foundation for characters of those races.  I want those who have Faendryl characters to have such a resource, a richer and deeper history as recorded by the Faendryl throughout their long and interesting journey in Elanthia.

Please remember that, as with all histories, this history records a view.  It does not say, “This is how it happened”; rather, it says, “This is how the Faendryl have recorded it.”

So, until the official documents are updated and enriched, this document is available – even if for nothing more than conversation.  I hope you enjoy reading it.

Oh, and one more thing.  The history is for Faendryl eyes only.  It is a Faendryl presenting research for the perusal and study of other Faendryl.  In-character discussions by those who are not Faendryl would not take place, as those who are not Faendryl would never see this document.  Out of character discussions, on the other hand, are perfectly okay.
