Spicy Shrimp-Kabobs

Shrimp

Hot Sauce (such as “Tabasco”)

Butter  (1/4 lb. to each 4 large cloves of garlic)

Garlic cloves, crushed

 

You will need raw, peeled and de-veined shrimp for this recipe.   Melt butter and add crushed garlic, cook to infuse flavor of garlic to butter (do NOT brown butter or garlic), reserve for basting.   Put the shrimp on skewers.  Line a cookie sheet (big enough so that the skewers will lay flat in it) with plastic wrap.  Place shrimp skewers on cookies sheet.  Cover shrimp with a generous amount of hot sauce, fold plastic wrap around shrimp and marinate for at least 1 hour.   Place skewers on grill and baste while cooking with  garlic butter.  Serve plain or with cocktail sauce.   (Cocktail sauce = ketchup, horseradish and a “dash” of lemon juice; all to taste).
