Strada

2 cups bread-cubed

½ lb. Cheddar cheese-grated

½ lb. Crumbled bacon (ham or shrimp)

¼ cup melted butter

½ lb. fresh mushrooms-sliced

(Onions, green peppers, etc…)

3 large eggs

1-teaspoon mustard

2 cups milk

1/2-teaspoon salt

 

 Put half of the bread cheese, bacon and butter in a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. Repeat the layer again. Put the mushrooms on the top. Beat together the eggs, milk, mustard, and salt. Pour the mixture over the top. Let sit overnight in the refrigerator.  Bake the next morning in a 300 deg. Oven for 1-1/2 hours.
