Waldorf Salad

 Equal amounts by volume of:           Apples

                                                Celery

                                                Grapes

½ volume of these ingredients:           Chopped Walnuts

 

Fresh lemon juice to coat apples.

 

Dressing

 

Combine mayonnaise and sugar to taste (it should taste a little too sweet because the lemon juice will make the dressing a little tarter). 

 Core and chop apples into small ½-inch pieces.  Toss in lemon juice.  Chop celery and halve grapes (if necessary to make equal size to celery and apples).   Combine.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.  Drain any extra lemon juice from the fruit mixture.  Add walnuts and combine until equally distributed.  Pour dressing over mixture, mix thoroughly, serve.
