Plain Dinner Rolls

1 cup milk

¼ cup sugar

1 t. salt

¼ cup unsalted butter

1 cake yeast

¼ cup lukewarm water

3 – 4 cups all-purpose flour

2 beaten eggs

Scald milk.  Put sugar, salt and butter in a mixing bowl and pour hot liquid over them.  Stir well at let cool to lukewarm.  Soften yeast in water and add to rest of ingredients.  Add eggs.  Add flour gradually until dough is still enough to handle on a board.  Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until it is elastic and does not stick to board or hands.  Place dough in a greased bowl, grease top, cover, and leave in a warm place until it has doubled in bulk.   Form dough into desired shape and brush with melted butter.  Let raise again to double bulk.  Bake rolls in 350F-375F degree oven for approximately 15-20 minutes until golden-brown.
