After attempting to document this I understand what Tom and Brad go through to develop the VFAQ pages and have a Whole Lot of respect for them!! Thanks guys!!
Here is the turbo before I removed it from the car. Most of the extra plumbing has been removed to expose the turbo its self.
In the third
picture you can see the oil in the inlet.
I removed the turbo as suggested in the VFAQ by splitting the turbo at the exhaust scroll and leaving the exhaust intact
The Cartridge can then be dissembled and overhauled out of the car.
My oil burning, tail smoking, embarrassing cloud generating, days are over! At least until I cook the turbo again.
