In order
to fulfill the calling that God has on this body of believers,
it is important that each person of the body possess character
traits necessary to accomplish the mission. There are many character
traits that could be listed, but below are listed the traits
that are relevant to this body of believers. For the sake of
memory, we have chosen to use the acrostic H.A.R.V.E.S.T.
We
need people who are:
Humble-
people who are not dependent or self sufficient, but they recognize
their weaknesses and are totally dependent upon God in every
area of their lives.
Available- people who intentionally
make themselves available to God, the Church, and the Pastor
to carry out the calling that God has on their lives to edify
the body of Christ.
Reproducers-
people who are committed to reproducing themselves through discipling
others in the ways and character of God.
Vigilant-
people who are alert and are attentive to others and the needs
of the community.
Encouragers-
people who do not stay hung up on their own concerns only, but
they live to encourage others in spite of the challenges they
may be facing.
Sanctified-
people who don't decided their own course in life, but those
who understand and are willing to submit to God and the course
that He wants for them.
Teachable-
people who are willing to learn and grow beyond their current
level of understanding and knowledge.
