Greg is back at work, the leaves are turning, the thermostat is a topic of increasing frequency, soup is back on the menu (much to the kid’s disappointment)...and we've been busy since we last blogged.


Long lost Frank came for a visit. The world felt in balance having him here.


Dylan began his tutelage as a falconer. Baby steps.


The kids formed the neighborhood choir.


Dylan learns that scooters are ALMOST as fun as bikes. Now that he has practice, he can't wait to scooter again with his cousin Olivia.


Avery continues to seek Iron Cheflet status





Fall festival (my favorite local celebration) was a hit. I spent two hours there alone for the first time AND later the kids crafted till their hearts were content.



A double tear-free hair cut that didn't take place in my kitchen. Glory Glory Glory!



Dylan started Big Kindergarten! Mostly Smiles...who knows what's going on under all those fake smiles?



Dylan started AYSO Soccer on the Cubs. Oranges for half time is a highlight. Oh and shin guards are VERY fun. Real soccer may come later. I can only hope because that baseball theme is pretty solid. Oh help me....and Grandma.


I walked the Portland Marathon. 26.2 miles in 6 hours.








Dylan got a new bike. 20" wheels and 12 gears. Which does he love more? Bikes or Baseball?
