| Goch is Katie's adopted
home town during the school year 2003-2004. As
shown
on the map, Goch is nestled in the northwestern area of Germany,
north-northwest of Düsseldorf. In early November of 2004
Katie returned to Goch for a week during which time she reconnected
with friends and once again joined the volunteer "Fire
Brigade Band" for festival playing events.
Other
places of interest include:
We are very grateful for the support given to Katie by her host
family, the Thissens; Goch
Gymnasium school staff and fellow students; her new friends; and
the community of Goch. They have helped Katie become quite
involved within the community, her school and extracurricular
activities.
