History
In 1980 in a small South Georgia town, a
father decided to make some wooden toys for his young son. He bought a scroll
saw and made a few simple wooden toys. His son liked the toys so much that he
began to make him other wooden toy designs. He decided that since his son
enjoyed the toys so much that other children might enjoy them too. He expanded
his equipment in 1981, bought a business license and soon he was selling the
toys at the area markets. As time went on, people liked the toys so much, they
began asking Jon to make wooden and cloth crafts. The story from that point on
is one of customer satisfaction and growth. Today Jon's Country Crafts produces
toys, crafts, and many other wooden articles and travels to craft shows all
over the states of Georgia
and Alabama.
Every article that Jon's Country Crafts sells is handmade by Jon and his wife
Fran in their own workshop. Jon's crafts are widely sought after by everyone
who sees them.
