Need dates, parents, and siblings for David A. WAGNON who married Mary (Mollie) COVIN in Monroe Co., AL on 13 Nov 1878. James C. WAGNON m Evie. COVIN in Monroe Co. 20 Jul 1879. James was probably David's brother and E. V. was Mollie's sister. Any help on WAGNON and COVIN would be appreciated. Other possible siblings for David are: G. A. WAGNON who m W. C. HOLLOWAY 11 Sep 1879, Octavia WAGNON who m Monroe STACEY 27 May 1866, and George J. WAGNON who m Indiana TUCKER 4 Aug 1872. All of these marriages took place in Monroe Co., AL.

Seeking information on parents and/or siblings of Daniel Monroe Wagnon, born 1816 in Greene County, Georgia, died in 1859 in Greene County, Georgia and Martha M. SWINDLE born in 1821. Daniel and Martha were married 18 December 1834 in Greene County, Georgia. I can share names and some descendants of their 11 children.

George B. WAGNON

My Wagnons came from Virginia, to Kentucky, to Indiana to Oregon in 1853. Maybe we could find a common ancestor. My great-grandfather said that the Wagnons originated in England and that a clerk's misreading of the name MAGNON made them become Wagnons in this country. My Kentucky to Indiana ancestor was George B. WAGNON, born 1800 in Hardin County KY. Any info appreciated.

The only WAGNON I have married a sibling (Nancy LUMPKIN) of my gg grandmother. He was Daniel WAGNON who married Nancy Taylor LUMPKIN 13 Sep 1832 in Oglethorpe County, Ga. I have some of her ancestors, but nothing on him save the name and marriage date.

Thomas WAGNON

I ran upon something on the internet that's made me curious re: a land sale between John Peter WAGNON to Thomas WAGNON, Burke Co. GA., 6 Apr 1791. I've found my WAGNONs 1850 Carroll Co GA >1860 Randolph Co GA>1870-80 Cleburne Co GA>1900 Calhoun Co AL. A problem I've run across is they kept reusing names ie: Wm Oliver, Geo Matthew, etc. Mine eventally ended up in TX. A story I've heard about the WAGNONs is that 2 brothers came together to this country,when? origin? Certainly would be interested in sharing info, when I find anything I just make a note of it whether it fits athis point or not.
