OT Survey Part 1

Someone once said, God not only wants us to trust Him, but to also learn His ways. Who can understand the ways of God?

God chose to reveal Himself in a progressive way, and His written word gradually unfolds more and more of His ways to us.

Seeing Jesus in the OT builds our faith. Jesus and the early disciples many times referenced texts from the OT and explained their fulfillment. It has been said that the New is in the Old concealed, and the Old is in the New revealed.

In these classes we will look at a panoramic view of the OT books. How do these books relate to each other? We will identify the historical, poetical and prophetical books and their integration in the OT. We will look at very general events in some of these OT books with special emphasis on Jesus in the OT.

The OT can be intimidating or frustrating. This is a fresh and fun approach that presents a bird's eye view so you can have some bearing of the chronology of OT events.

There is nothing more stirring or exciting than seeing Jesus in every book of the OT.
