42. Mary (Polly)⁴ Cave (Abner³, William², Robert¹) was born in Orange Co, VA about 1805. Mary died September 28, 1884 in Hart Co, KY, at 79 years of age.

She married twice. She married Thomas Smith in Orange Co, VA, October 25, 1824. Thomas was born in Orange Co, VA. She married John Mathews in Green Co, KY, December 4, 1834. John was born SAY 1795.

Mary (Polly) Cave and John Mathews had the following family:

+ 177 i. Mary L.⁵ Mathews was born about 1835.

+ 178 ii. Thomas Mathews was born about 1837.

+ 179 iii. George W. Mathews was born about 1842.

+ 180 iv. Martha Ann Mathews was born December 15, 1843.

+ 181 v. Elizabeth Mathews was born June 1844.
