Official Rules
For The
Talent Search
1) You must pre-register before Dec 31, 2010. The entry form must be
filled out and mailed back with non-refundable entry fee of $20.00. After
we have received your form, we will email or call to confirm we have received
your form and give you the date you will perform. If you do not receive an
email or a phone call, call us and make sure we received your form.
2) There are 3
divisions: Juniors 12 and under, Teens
13 to 19, Adults 20 and older
3) Judging:1-25 points for performance, 1-10 points for
stage presence, and 1-15 points for audience response, which will be determined
by crowd response when all contestants are presented on stage at the end of the
night.
4) Each contestant will be given up to 20 tickets to sell @ $10.00
each. The money and/or tickets must be returned by January 10, 2011. If you
sell 20 tickets or more, your $20.00 entry fee will be refunded
after your performance. If you can’t sell all of your tickets, the other
contestants will be given the opportunity to sell them. Bring as many friends
& family as you possibly can, to cheer you on.
5) We have a list of songs the band can play that you can choose from
on our web
site. if you want to
sing a song not on our list, contact us.
6) The weekly contest will have two winners to go on to the "FINAL"
round. The weekly winners will also receive a "T-Shirt" and will be a
guest on the Bardstown Opry the following week. The 2 winners from each week
will be selected from all divisions.
7) All contestants will perform with our band, or solo. No tracks are allowed. contestants will perform 2
songs. One fast song and one slow song are preferred.
8) If you cannot attend the week you are to perform, please call or
email us so we can allow someone else to perform in your place and we will
reschedule your performance.
Prize Information
Weekly Winners will receive a T-Shirt, plus guest
appearance on the Bardstown Opry.
