Chris Wakeman
is the owner and engineer for OmegAudio. Robin Wakeman is
the staff arranger and musicians for OmegAudio. Both are accomplished
musicians with many years of experience.
Robin began
playing the violin and cello in grade school. She played through
High School. After High School she learned Piano and has continued
to hone her very gifted musical talents. Robin continues to blesses
others with her playing and musical talents.
Chris started
playing the trombone in grade school. Switched to Tuba in Junior
High, and continued to play Tuba for 13 years. For a period of eight
years Chris Played for the Marine Band, where he started learning
sound systems.
Chris began
training sound teams in the Marine Band while stationed in Okinawa
Japan in 1982. He was responsible for a small system, and
worked with another person with the main system for the III MAF
Show Band. Chris quickly became known for creating a
great mix while traveling to other countries like Korea, and Australia.
After leaving
Japan, Chris built, and ran the sound system for II MAW Show Band.
Chris trained and supervised a team so efficient, that the sound
team could go from truck to show in 30 minutes. Chris started
developing his recording skills, and refining his mixing skills
while with the II MAW Show Band. While traveling extensively
on the eastern side of the United States Chris again was recognized
for his great mixes (Chris has been to all but six states in the
country).
The big transformation
came when Chris was born again Fourth of July weekend 1986.
Before leaving the Marine Corps, The Lord had given Chris the desire
and talent to mix music and run sound systems. The Lord also
gave Chris the ability to teach, which Chris continues to utilize
in many areas of his life and business today.
In 1995 OmegAudio
was born from the desire the Lord gave Chris and the talent the
Lord gave his wife Robin. The Lord had been giving Robin songs
and music but she did not know what to do with this music.
One Sunday a couple who attended their church, gave Robin a keyboard
saying "The Lord said to give this to you".
From that moment
more equipment was purchased, MIDI was learned, a Windows based
recording and editing system
was purchased, and OmegAudio was born. During this time
of increased learning and desire to create music, Chris continued
to learn new technology and make improvements to the sound system
for his local church.
Shortly after
this came requests for help. Chris has rebuilt three sound
systems for his church, and has also rebuilt the sound systems for
two other churches. Besides his own church, Chris has also helped
one church set up a computer based recording and editing system.
Helping them to move into the realm of producing CDs.
During this
time Chris received requests from other Pastors to help train their
sound team, which he has. Chris has continued to work with
others and continues to share his over twenty years of experience
teaching others how to bless The Lord with a sound system.
