Colon
HydrotherapyThe usual colon hydrotherapy lasts approximately 45 minutes. A small speculum is inserted into the rectum. This speculum is then attached to a plastic hose which connects to the colon irrigation machine. The colon hydrotherapist then adjusts the volume and temperature of the water coming out of the machine which runs through a plastic hose into the rectum and through the entire colon.
The
colon is temporarily filled with a certain volume of water to individual
tolerance. This will induce peristaltic contractions in the colon, and the
patient will begin to expel fecal matter through a special hose which leads back
to the colon irrigation machine and through a clear plastic viewing tube.
It
is quite interesting to see what is expelled during a normal colon hydrotherapy
treatment . . .
One
may see mucous, parasites and very old feculent material (noted by its dark
black color) pass through this tube. This old feculent material may have been
lying in the patient's colon for years.
It
looks like vulcanized rubber and has that kind of consistency. In addition, the
patient may experience sensations of warmth due to the presence of toxins in the
feculent matter.
While the patient is receiving the colon treatment, the colon hydrotherapist
lightly massages various parts of the abdomen to help loosen and dislodge areas
of fecal impaction. If this therapy is conducted properly, it should not be
painful or uncomfortable.
It should be noted that most patients need a series of colon irrigations . . . not just one. It usually takes a few treatments before one starts dislodging old encrusted feculent matter. It takes years for the colon to become clogged up with its own waste products. Therefore, one should not be impatient when pursuing a therapeutic course of colon irrigations.
Poisons
from an improperly functioning colon can:
· Weaken
and stress the body
· Cause
skin disruption such as blemishes, paleness, psoriasis, liver spots, wrinkles
and other facial conditions
· Cause
foul breath
· Cause
anxiety and sleep disturbances
· Go
to the muscles and cause fatigue and weakness
· Ruin
your health, and cause you to become old long before your time
· Cause
an already overworked liver to become more toxic
Constipation is defined as the difficult or infrequent passage of feces
and is associated with the presence
of dry, hard stools. The
constipation condition may lead to intestinal toxemia which is a form of
poisoning due to the absorption of bacteria and their toxins through the
intestinal wall. Thirty six
toxic substances have been isolated from the human colon, mainly derived
from the bacterial decomposition of proteins which ultimately overburden the
liver’s and kidney’s
detoxification ability.
Good health is as much a function of our elimination status as the quality of food we ingest. Every year 140,000 Americans are diagnosed as having colon—rectal cancer. Of this population, 44% will die as a result of the disease. Colon cancer is the second leading cancer killer in the U.S. following lung cancer in both sexes. At least two million patients suffer from colitis, ileitis, diverticulitis and more than 100,000 Americans have a colostomy every year. The American Cancer Society has provided evidence in recent years that environmental agents such as: insecticides in drinking water, drugs / hormones fed to animals, and carcinogens in the air we breathe may play a significant role in the development of colon—rectal cancer.
Colon
hydrotherapy addresses the cause or source of constipation problems.
Other methods treat symptoms
and provide temporary relief of the
problem. Colon hydrotherapy will
effectively cleanse the colon and promote the return of regular bowel
elimination. This cleansing
procedure could prevent stagnation and possibly minimize the exposure of cancer
causing agents to the colon wall. The
above combined effect may serve to rejuvenate the immunological system and truly
be the pathway to a more vibrant health!
