Walking on Wind
Dedicated to Mothers Who Have Lost Children
| making her
way through the crowded city streets with misery in her step an old haggard woman with shoes, ill fitting and worn shuffles and mumbles to the rhythm of the hustle she pulls from her blanket a child's stuffed toy and holds it to her heart one lone tear slides down her cheek leaving a clean trail on her smudged and wrinkled face carefully, methodically she places the bear back in her cart covering it with a scrap from a child's faded blanket a little more spring in her step the woman moves on and I hear her singing these words that make me smile, and thank God |
"hush
little baby, mama's still here the days are good to me and the nights are all right it won't be long, little darling 'til Mama will come and walk on the wind with you together we'll take flight He's comin' to get me sweet little girl to bring us together in His bright domain until that time sweet little angel look over your Mama and take away her pain I see His bright light shinin down on me and feel your sweet whispers in the depths of my soul He's comin' real soon, now I feel it inside me Mama's comin home little one again we'll be whole" |
as I walked
along behind her I could feel a warmth from within nothing I'd ever felt before and nothing I'll ever feel again the woman lay down on some old cardboard scraps she held that bear tight as if it were a child afraid of the night I took off my coat and lay it over her crumpled form just as I prepared to walk away I saw, out of the corner of my eye a shadow, no two about twenty feet above me they disappeared without a trace and the most glorious breeze began to cut the summer heat when I looked back the old woman was still eyes open, and a smile on her face I knew that she had just walked on wind By Arleigh |

At the Oklahoma City Memorial a
marvelous depiction of our Lord Jesus.
JESUS WEPT - It says all that needs to be said for all the little children especially
as Jesus' heart was close to children, he said 'of such is the Kingdom of Heaven"
Now HE shall weep for all of America and the world!

Love Is The Greatest Gift Of All
And Love Isn't Love Until You Give It Away!
My words cannot express the love I have for all the
firemen, policemen, workers and leaders in New York, PA., and Washington;
nor the compassion I feel for the people who have lost someone dear,
I truly understand your grief and loss and my prayers will be for your peace.
