At the retreat, we canoed down the Ebenezer Creek and visited the museum across the street. In the morning we loaded the vans up and went into Savannah. In Savannah we went on the Historic Carriage Tour, had lunch at the square next to Juliette Low's house. The birds on the square would eat right out of your hand!
At Juliette Low's house, we did the Rainy Day in 1870. We had dinner at the Pirate's House. That night we did the Ghost Talk Ghost Walk.
The next morning we voted to go to the river front in Savannah and shop.
We all loved the fudge shop and enjoyed watching someone make a candle
at the candle shop. After dinner we drove back to Atlanta.
I got to spent sometime at collage. I went roller skating with
the girls. I also went to a Valentine's celebration.
I earned three try-its: Listening to the Past, G.S. Ways, and
Careers. We painted plastic Easter eggs.
I earned the Her Story try-its. I got to go to Sunrise House,
an assisted living apartment complex. We all got to hear many
stories about what it was like growing up when the senior citizens
were young. I also got to go to a service unit bridging ceremony.
