The body goes on!
|

|
I had to tidy
up some loose ends so I could get ready to install the
body. Here you can see the roll bar installed for a
test fit. |
| Here,
you can see the bulb seal installed and the roll bar after it's
final install. |

|
With the car
running so well, it's really hard to stay out of it.
Regular short trips down the block were quite fun. I've
got about 1 mile on the car at this point....all driven a couple
blocks at a time.
The cooling fan
switch was giving me some problems, but nothing that can't be
fixed...at some point. |

Before
installing the body, I wanted to make an access panel in case I
ever need to get to the clutch cable. Although it takes
away from the smooth appearance of the panel, it will be great
to have if I ever need to get into the top of the footbox.

|
Now, it's time to put the body on.
With help from Bob, Mike & Josh, we walked the body
out. Only took about 10 minutes to get it on. |

Feeling like a king now that I've gotten to
this point. It wasn't long ago that the car was a bare
frame sitting in the garage with the skin 5 feet off the
ground...now it looks like a real car. |

|

|
Here it is tucked away in the garage.
Now that the body is on, I can take my elevated body buck
off. That will give me more room in the garage and save my
head from the abuse it's taken. |
