Mission Statement - 12/18/92
The African-American History Club will consist of students, parents and teachers working together to provide for our students a firm, positive conception of who they are and what they must do to maximize achievement for themselves, our community and ultimately the world. Since this initial conception,the club has decided to organize around the NGUZO SABA, the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa:
UMOJA - Unity
KUJICHAGULIA - Self-determination
UJIMA - Collective Work and Responsibility
UJAMAA - Cooperative Economics
NIA - Purpose
KUUMBA - Creativity
IMANI - Faith
