So this girl comes into the store the other day. Redhead with freckles. Very cute. I love redheads. But no big deal until she comes up to the register and buys... a BUFFY: CHAOS BLEEDS STRATEGY GUIDE!!! Oh my God!! She's a gamer! Well, a little at least. She didn't know what the GBA link cable was for, so she's obviously not hardcore. But, hey, she plays, and that's good. She was also getting the guide to find out the secrets and not just for a walkthru. And just as good: SHE LIKES BUFFY! So, I'm thinking she's cool. These are good things. I'll give her above average treatment.
Then she comes back later to trade in some stuff for a GBA SP. Didn't find out if it was actually for her. She came in with her brother earlier, so it might have been for him. But I think it was for her. So I decide to do some probing, as per Gamepro. She has S1-4 of Buffy, just like me! And S1 and S2 of Angel. Rawk. She's a hardcore Buffy fan. Of course, now I'm in love. Redhead (favorite), freckles (cute), gamer (a little, but I can teach her), and Buffy fan (whooo!!). Now if she turns out to be a tech geek, I'm going to faint, as that would pretty much make her the perfect girl for me. But lets go back to my previous probing, and what I found out. She has a boyfriend. I couldn't really hide my excitement, so it was obvious to my manager (who was ringing her up) and her that I was interested. She cleverly and subtly mentions how her BOYFRIEND makes fun of her Buffy lovin'. Sucks. I liked the way she worked it in, though. Smooth.
She's dreamy. Maybe she'll get sick of the idiot who doesn't like Buffy. She said she likes our store better than the mall, so hopefully she'll be a regular, if I didn't scare her off :P She will be getting all kinds of privileges.

Yeah, I know, my scale would actually go up to 17, but hey, I really love gamers and geeks, and there's so many levels to them (and fandom of any kind) that certain adjustments need to be made. Okay, so maybe it just make any sense, but bottom line is she kicks more ass than anyone I've met in a long time. It's the Buffy thing.
DDR. Loving it. Getting the Ignition Pad 2.0. I have no idea now people execute 1/8 and faster steps without something to hold onto though, so I have to put the steps on Little :( I need something to hold onto while playing even more than the mat.
