Baldur's Gate II - Ranged characters don't suck |

Unlimited arrows and you everyone starts with the targeting line. Little bit of auto aim, too. It has two levels of zoom: One is the same as the first, and you can zoom in a little closer. My monk is doing more damage with a crossbow than with her hands, which I'm pretty sure is wrong, but maybe I just need to level up more and increase my unarmed combat skills.

Als picked up MOH: Rising Sun, T.H.U.G., and XIII.

Freedom Update |

Turns out the wireless pad I got was defective, hence the horrible d-pad. I figured it was too bad to be normal. The reviews would have mentioned it if they were all like that. The d-pad on the one I exchanged is just fine. This pad now kicks ass. Back button placement is bad, but a lot of games don't use it. Unfortunately, the ones that do seem to use it quite a bit (Baldur's Gate). It rather annoying to have to reach around the left stick.

Got Hit and Run. Not as utterly fabulous as it seemed at first but still very good. Also got R: Racing Evolution and SSX Tricky, but I sealed them so I could return them since I'm not sure about them yet. Gotta play they some more at the store.

Also, everyone (with Win2000 and XP) should check out CursorXP.

Talk about a Best Buy! |

The GTA Double Pack and Max Payne 2 are available TOGETHER for $60 at Best Buy. Not such a big deal with the PS2 since GTA is ten dollars less than the Xbox version, but since Max Payne isn't even worth playing on the PS2... What perfect timing for it too. So much for waiting for the price to drop on GTA. $30 is good to me.
