Various Projects from 2004

The Giant Spider's Web, Victims...

El Cheapo Big Lots skeleton made the most visible victim.

I used fishing line to tie him into an uncomfortable position.

The less visible victims were trash bag, Wal-Mart bag and 2 liter bottle constructions.

They were painted and wrapped in white guaze-y septic paper, available inexpensively in large amounts at Home Depot.

The web was hand laid out, tied across the yard to make ikt easier on my back and then completely hand tied starting at the outside and working inward. Believe me when I say I was tired of tying little knots by then.

Looks like the spider victims drink a LOT of Diet Pepsi.

Victims in place.

The end-of-driveway web and most visible victim.

Dessication vacation.

Parts and Pieces

THE single most important thing needed for creating all of these props- LOTS and LOTS of coffee! (no, not Denise Austin!)

Stuff I've either collected over the years...

bought at places like Big Lots....

or thrift stores....

Or whereever I could find....

creepy cool stuff.

The Green Captain is DEAD! Long live the Green Captain!!

I dig this little guy. He's a cheapo skull from Big Lots, eyes cut out and corpsified.

My tombstone, before weathering.

My mom's spare-foam black cat.

The shroud was from an old store-bought decoration.

Cheap skulls hung from branches and wrapped with twine. I later added raffia hanging down from them, giving a sort of cannibal island look.

Daytime shots of the Haunt

Pumpkin carving party

A few days before Halloween my wife and I had a few friends over to eat a bit, drink a bit and carve pumpkins. A BYOP party!

We had a lot of fun and hope to do it again this year.
