Psychological Warfare

"Many of the whites who remained in Saint-Domingue now openly disavowed all allegiance to France and asked for intervention by English troops. When English soldiers landed in the ports of the island, they were welcomed as liberators by the white population. From San Domingo, too, Spanish troops poured across the border into the colony."

"The San Domingan revolution is a minor episode at best, now, in the cavalcade of American history. It has been consigned to insignificance because it does not serve that saga well. But that revolution, and the American reaction to it, was not insignificant at all in their own time, or for decades after. In their practical effects, they altered irrevocably the pattern of American commerce and the direction of American development. In their impact on the imagination, they haunted American minds until at least the Civil War and poisoned American principles far longer than that." (Michael Zuckerman)

As Winthrop Jordan put it, "To trace the spread of Negro rebellion in the New World and to examine American responses to what they saw as a mounting tide of danger is to watch the drastic erosion of the ideology of the American Revolution."...

Haitian history has been nothing but inspiration to many nations and many Haitians have contributed in the course of historical changes.  Unfortunately, International politics and geographical control by the US has been the cause of despair and instability in Haiti.  Unless it revises its policies, Haiti will revert back to 1791. The inevitable will storm every part of life in every corner of the Republic... Victims...

Haiti and Haitians have suffered for the same very reasons the US and Americans have prospered. Not withstanding evolution for which the US became the world leader, Haiti has been drowned into an ocean of political despair. US and International politics have misled all initiatives taken by sympathizers and groups of Haitians wishing to help reestablish cohesiveness in Haiti. Controlled and paid groups are organized to created governmental and social instability... Victims...

Psychological warfare such as the introduction of AIDS into Haitian Society has been the most devastating of all weapons used against Haitians.  In early 1980's, the United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) introduced a fresh label for Haitians: “Aids Carriers”.  The CDC had then classified Haitians as a high-risk group for AIDS. Because US scientists failed to identified (or intentionally targeted Haitians) the origin of the devastating AIDS virus and, because US media did an excellent job publicizing it, Haitians have been severely victimized. Pressured by different local and international organizations, the high-risk classification was dropped in 1985.  Nevertheless, Haitians become the victims of AIDS hysteria and life has never been the same, since. Victims...

July 1981 Dr Curran of the CDC  reported that "there was no apparent danger to non homosexuals from contagion. 'The best evidence against contagion', he said, 'is that no cases have been reported to date outside the homosexual community or in women'" - The New York Times-. Nevertheless, Haitians had been targeted.
