The Bible says that God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. We being outlaws of the "world-State," acknowledge God's power and His ultimate presence, and stand shield in hand against the foolishness of this world, which says to itself "their is no God." It is neither Republican nor Democrat who will stand in authority in heaven one day, but it is Christ seated at the right hand of the Father. His Kingdom is NOT of this world. Neither should any man of God, called to preach God's word, attempt to become a political leader and still claim he is God's minister. The two do not mix. Either you are called to preach, or you are called to servitude in the community. A preacher who thinks he must take on the robe of power in this life has forgotten the true meaning of Christian servitude. Christ washed the disciples feet, he didn't wash Caesar's feet. Pat Robertson of the 700 Club is the perfect example. He has become a powerless man, living only as a political whiner, caught up with the cares of this world. His ministry has turned from the teaching of the cross to a FEAR of eschatological events (the study of the end times) and a constant reporting of the evils in the Holy Land. The evil in the Holy Land is there because the Children of Israel refused to accept their Messiah when he came. Had it not been for America's hand to cover Israel's sin, they would have long ago been crushed and wiped out by the enemy of God that surround them. I am not convinced defending Israel, or helping to defend them is the correct posture at all. That may be why there is trouble in our land. We claim to be "In God We Trust," but the truth is, we protect a society in Israel that takes our help and our aid and our billions of dollars, but that abhors our Christ. For it was not just any "god" that we trust, it is the one true God, and the same that sent His Son to take away the sins of the world. The reason their is so much bloodshed in the middle east today is because it is the judgment of God against his own people. Except for a remnant that He may keep for himself, we may yet see Israel wiped out in our lifetime. It would not be the first time in human history that such an event has taken place. And it is no surprise that the emphasis of the battle group is from the old Babylonian Empire. Iraq. Now, America goes in and wipes out Old Babylon. What is needed now is for the missionaries to be sent to this mission field? Now, we find a modern-day circumstance where a Christian man is given the perfect example of a field white for harvest. The Iraqi people have been oppressed for decades, maybe longer, and surely they are hungry for the one true God. They have followed Mohammed, and his false teachings have failed. Can anyone besides myself picture a CHRISTIAN Iraq??? When the tanks are done paving the way, moving aside the evil government, then how much blood of the martyrs shed on the desert sand would it take for Iraq to turn to the one true God and His only Son Jesus Christ?

I wonder...
