Federal Setoff Debt Collection Act

The Jesup Housing Authority supports enacting legislation enabling PHA's to collect outstanding balances from past residents through a setoff in any federal tax refund check.

UPDATES:

bullet1/30/07:  Requested that a house bill be drafted to include public housing authorities as an eligible claimant agency on a Federal Debt Setoff Collection Act.  Request made to Congressman Jack Kingston, 1st District Georgia.
