WHAT WE BELIEVE DOCTRINALLY

Jacksonville Heights Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Florida Baptist Convention.

We are conservative in our doctrinal view, believing that the Holy Bible is the Word of God and the Bible is our authority for faith and practice.  We hold to the basic teaching of The Baptist Faith and Message, as approved by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963 and 2000. 

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ and the Trinity of the Godhead, the verbal inspiration of the Word of God, the redemption by the Blood of Jesus Christ, by grace, not of works, and the everlasting life and security of the believer.  We believe in  the imminent rapture of the church, the depravity of man, and the everlasting punishment of the rejecters of Christ and that the church is the center of witness through which the Gospel is propagated to other men.
