King James Translation: “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

Interlinear Translation: “Now the Lord the Spirit is; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “NOW = adversative or continuative, but, also, and, moreover, THE LORD IS THAT SPIRIT = a current of air, i.e. breath, blast or a breeze, vital principle, mental disposition, Christ’s spirit, the Holy Spirit, ghost, life, mind. AND WHERE THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS, THERE IS LIBERTY = freedom, unrestrained, to go at pleasure, i.e. as a citizen not a slave whether freeborn or manumitted or generally exempt from obligation or liability, free, at liberty.
