King James Translation: “And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, hear him.”

Interlinear Translation: “and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my Son the beloved; him hear ye.”

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “AND THERE CAME = to cause to be, to come into being, arise, be fulfilled, happen, be wrought. A VOICE = disclosure, a tone, an address, noise, sound. OUT OF THE CLOUD = cloudiness. SAYING = to lay forth, figuratively relate in words usually of systematic or set discourse. THIS IS MY BELOVED SON = to love in a social or moral sense, to be a friend to, fond of an individual, have affection for denoting personal attachment as a matter of sentiment or feeling, embracing especially the judgment and the deliberate assent of the will as a matter of principle, duty and propriety. HEAR HIM = give in the audience of, come to the ears, hearken, understand.
