Key Verse: Philippians 4:7:

King James Translation: “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Interlinear Translation: “and the peace of God which surpasses every understanding shall guard your hearts and thoughts your in Christ Jesus.”

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “AND THE PEACE OF GOD = to join peace, by implication prosperity, one, quietness, rest, set at one again. WHICH PASSETH = hold over, to hold oneself above, i.e. to excel, superior, superiority, better, excellency, higher, pass, supreme. ALL UNDERSTANDING = the intellect, i.e. mind in thought, mind, feeling, or will, by implication meaning, mind. SHALL KEEP = to be a watcher in advance i.e. to mount guard as a sentinel, post spies at gate, figuratively to hem in, protect, keep with a garrison. YOUR HEARTS = figuratively the thoughts or feelings, by analogy the middle. AND MINDS = a perception, i.e. purpose, by implication the intellect, disposition, itself, device, thought. THROUGH CHRIST JESUS = fixed position in place, time, state and by implication instrumentality, a relation of rest.
