King James Translation: “And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.”
Interlinear Translation: “And did he the right in the eyes of Jehovah; only, not with a heart perfect.”
Strong’s Concordance Translation: “AND HE DID THAT WHICH WAS RIGHT = straight, convenient, equity, just, meet, pleased well, righteous, most uprightly. IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD = eye, by analogy a fountain as the eye of the landscape, affliction, outward appearance, conceit, favour, countenance, knowledge, presence, resemblance. BUT NOT WITH A PERFECT = complete, especially friendly, full, just, made ready, peaceable, perfected, quiet, whole. HEART = the most interior organ, themselves, breast, comfortably, courage, tender, midst, mind, understanding.
