King James Translation: “Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.”
Interlinear Translation: “with much entreaty beseeching of us, the grace and the fellowship of the service which was for the saints for us to receive.”
Strong’s Concordance Translation: “PRAYING US = to beg as binding oneself, i.e. petition, beseech, make request, to bind, be in bonds, knit, wind. WITH MUCH INTREATY = imploration, hortation, solace, comfort, consolation, exhortation. THAT WE WOULD RECEIVE = accept, take. THE GIFT = graciousness as gratifying of manner or act or spiritual especially the divine influence upon the heart and its reflection in the life including gratitude, acceptable, benefit, favour, joy liberally, pleasure, thankworthy. AND TAKE UPON US THE FELLOWSHIP = partnership i.e. participation or social intercourse or pecuniary benefaction, to communicate, contribution, distribution. OF THE MINISTERING = attendance as a servant, figuratively eleemosynary aid, official service especially of the Christian teacher or of the deaconate, ministration, office, relief, service. TO THE SAINTS = sacred physically pure and morally blameless or religious certainly consecrated, most holy one
