King James Translation “Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Interlinear Translation: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion, and God of all encouragement, who encourages us in all our tribulations, for to be able us to encourage those in every tribulation, through the encouragement with which we are encouraged ourselves by God.”

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “BLESSED BE GOD = said good, to speak well of, i.e. religiously, to bless, thank or invoke a benediction up, prosper, praise. THE FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST = parent, THE FATHER OF MERCIES = to exercise pity, have compassion on. AND THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT = imploration, hortation, solace, consolation, exhortation, intreaty. WHO COMFORTETH US IN ALL OUR TRIBULATION = affliction, anguish, burdened, persecution, trouble. THAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO COMFORT THEM = be possible, can do, could, may, might, be of power. WHICH ARE IN ANY TROUBLE = anguish, burdened, persecution, tribulation, affliction. BY THE COMFORT WHEREWITH WE OURSELVES ARE COMFORTED OF GOD = my, thy, our, yours, self, one another, thine.
