Strong’s Concordance Translation: “AND WHEN JAMES = heel catcher, i.e. supplanter. CEPHAS = the stone, a hollow rock, to curve, bow down self. AND JOHN = Jehovah favoured. WHO SEEMED = to think, by implication to seem truthfully or uncertainly, be accounted, of own pleasure, be of reputation, seem good, suppose, trow. TO BE PILLARS = stiff, stiffen, a post style, i.e. figuratively support. PERCEIVED = to know absolutely, allow, be aware of, feel, knowledge, perceive, be resolved, can speak, be sure, understand. THE GRACE = graciousness as gratifying of manner or act, figuratively or spiritual, especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life, including gratitude, acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, joy liberality, pleasure, thanks worthy. THAT WAS GIVEN UNTO ME = adventure, bestow, bring forth, commit, deliver up, grant, make, minister, offer, put, received, set, utter, yield. THEY GAVE TO ME AND BARNABAS = prophecy, a son, grandson, a prophet. THE RIGHT HANDS = the right side or hand as that which usually takes. OF FELLOWSHIP = partnership, i.e. literally participation, or social intercourse or pecuniary benefaction, to communicate, communion, distribution. THAT WE SHOULD GO UNTO = indicating the point reached or entered of place, time, or figuratively purpose or result, concerning, for intent purpose. THE HEATHEN = a race as of the same habit, i.e. a tribe, specially a foreign non-Jewish one usually by implication pagan, Gentile, nation, people. AND THEY UNTO THE CIRCUMCISION = the rite, the condition of the people, cut around.
