King James Translation: “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”

Interlinear Translation: “As all things to us divine power his which pertain to life and piety has given, through the knowledge of him who called us to glory and virtue,”

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “ACCORDING = which how, i.e. in that manner, about, after that, as soon as, even as like, like as, as soon as, with all speed. AS HIS DIVINE = godlike, godhead, divinity, magistrate, very exceeding. POWER = ability, abundance, meaning, mightily, strength, mighty wonderful work. HATH GIVEN US ALL THINGS = to bestow gratuitously, a present specially a sacrifice, gift, offering. THAT PERTAIN UNTO LIFE = lifetime, to live, lively, quick. AND GODLINESS = piety specially the gospel scheme, holiness, good adore, well-reverent, pious, devout, godly. THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE = recognition, i.e. by implication full discernment, acknowledgment, acknowledging. Distribution know, to know upon some mark, recognize, to become fully acquainted with, perceive. OF HIM THAT HATH CALLED US = to call properly aloud, bid, call forth. TO GLORY = dignity, glorious, honor, praise, worship, to think to seem truthfully or uncertainly, be accounted of own pleasure, be of reputation, seem good, suppose, think, trow. AND VIRTUE. = manliness, valor, i.e. excellence, praise.
