Key Verse: Song Of Solomon 8:7:

King James Translation: “Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.”

Interlinear Translation: “Many waters are not able to quench love, and the rivers not I will over-flow it. If would give it man all the wealth of his house for love, despising they despise him.”

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “MANY = abundant, in quantity, exceedingly, full, greatly, increase, long enough, time, have, fold, things, more, very, much, multiply. WATERS CANNOT = figuratively juice, by euphemism urine, semen, piss, wasting, watering, course, flood, spring. QUENCH = to expire or causative to extinguish fire, light, anger, go out, put out. LOVE = affection in a good or bad sense, lover, to have affection for sexually or otherwise, beloved, loved, like, friend. NEITHER CAN THE FLOODS = a stream, figuratively prosperity, river, to sparkle, be cheerful, to flow, figuratively to assemble, be lightened. DROWN IT = to gush, by implication to inundate, cleanse, by analogy gallop, conquer, overflow, wash away, whelm. IF A MAN WOULD GIVE ALL = any, every, all manner, altogether, any manner, enough, whatsoever, the whole. THE SUBSTANCE = wealth, enough. OF HIS HOUSE = family, court, hangings, palace, place, steward, temple. FOR LOVE = affection in a good or bad sense, lover, to have affection for sexually or otherwise, beloved, loved, like, friend. IT WOULD UTTERLY BE CONTEMNED = to disrespect, utterly despised.
