King James Translation: “For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.”

Interlinear Bible English Translation: “For wisdom is better than jewels, and all delights cannot be compared to it.”

Interlinear Translation: “For better is wisdom than jewels, and all delights not can be compared to it.”

Strong’s Concordance Translation: “FOR WISDOM = skillful, wisely, wit, to be wise in mind, act, word, teach wisdom, show self wise, deal never so wisely, make wiser. IS BETTER = good things, beautiful, best, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, be in favor, fine, glad, graciously, joyful, kindly, kindness, pleasant, welfare. THAN RUBIES = a pearl, to turn, an angle, corner. AND ALL THE THINGS THAT MAY BE DESIRED = pleasure, a valuable thing, a matter as something in mind, acceptable, delightsome, things desired, pleasure, purpose, willingly. ARE NOT TO BE COMPARED TO IT = to level, i.e. equalize, figuratively to resemble, by implication to adjust, i.e. counterbalance, be suitable, compose, place, yield, avail, bring forth, countervail, be or make equal, profit, reckon.
