Practical and systematic ways to teach the Bible in Christian Education is given, analysis of extra biblical curriculum materials available today for each grade level.

 

Ed 403 TEACHING METHODS FOR SOCIAL STUDIES                                               3 Semester Hours

Contents, goals, and methods of teaching man's relationship to God, others and the environment presented, also emphasis on America's Christian heritage.

 

Ed 404 TEACHING METHODS FOR MATH AND PHYSICAL SCIENCE      3 Semester Hours

Teach fundamental principles of mathematics. Methods and materials of science studied from a creationist standpoint.

 

Ed 405 TEACHING METHODS FOR ART                                                                       3 Semester Hours

Surveys of the skills needed to teach Art in a Christian School with an emphasis on the practical use of materials.

 

Ed 406 TEACHING METHODS FOR MUSIC                                                      3 Semester Hours

Review the basic skills of teacher needs to teach elementary music in a Christian school. Special attention will be given to practical use of materials and the integration of music into the various subjects.

 

Ed 501 ADMINISTRATION OF THE CHRISTIAN DAY SCHOOL                  3 Semester Hours

A Christian philosophy is stated for school promotion, buildings, equipment, finance, legal aspects, and public relations. How to work with students, faculty, parents, and the public is presented..

 

Ed 502 ORGANIZATION AND SUPERVISION   3 Semester Hours

OF THE CHRISTIAN DAY SCHOOL

A Christian philosophy for establishing a Christian Day School, discipline, finances, record keeping, testing, counseling and needed resource material.

 

Ed 511 512 THESIS                                       3 Semester Hours each Semester

Students must choose an approved subject in the field of Christian Education. The outline and research must be completed by the end of the first semester. Final draft must be submitted one month before the student expects to graduate.

 

ENGLISH DEPARTMENT

En 100 REMEDIAL ENGLISH                                                                               3 Semester Hours

A review of grammar, sentence structure, word structure, and spelling is taught. It will be required of all students who fail an English aptitude test.

 

En 101 ENGLISH GRAMMAR AND WORD STUDIES                                     3 Semester Hours

Presenting intensive review of grammar, sentence structure, spelling and vocabulary.

 

En 102 ENGLISH COMPOSITION                                                                                    3 Semester Hours

Review the principles of grammar and usage in oral and written English. It requires frequent compositions, with attention to logical relation and arrangement of ideas. Procedures are introduced for the effective use of the library and for the, preparation of a research paper.

 

En 201 INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE                                                       3 Semester Hours

Air introductory survey of literature including the bible, noted prose arid poetry, and major Christian Classics.
