Wedge (part #93655)
Wedge Upgrade Kit (part #93662)

There is a problem when mounting the wedge with the Upgrade Kit installed. If you follow the instuctions in the manual, the azimuth adjustment screw handle can impact the tripod leg (as shown below) resulting in decreased azimuth mobility.

Fortunately, Celestron had the foresight to be able to mount the wedge in an alternate position. Included with your Ultima 2000 there should have been 3 metal inserts with threads inside. With these inserts you can mount the wedge on the tripod using the holes that you would normally use to mount the scope in alt-azm mode.

Begin by placing the wedge on the tripod and align the holes in the wedge with the 3 large "see-through" holes in the tripod. Now you will need to place an insert into one of the large "see-through" holes on the bottom of the tripod (as shown below) and hold it there while you screw a wedge bolt into the same hole from the top of the wedge. Do this for all 3 inserts/bolts.

With the wedge mounted in the alternate position the azimuth adjustment screw handle has no obstructions to limit its movement.

There is one additional problem that Celestron has provided a fix for. Included with the wedge are 3 bolts that have hand tightening knobs on them. These are supposed to secure the scope to the wedge tilt plate. However, the bolts are too short. Included with your U2K there should have been 3 threaded bolts (see graphic below). With some pulling and prying the knobs can be removed and placed on the bolts that are included with the Ultima 2000.
