We are delighted to be able to plan several field trips for the kindergarten class. In October
we plan to visit a fire station in Chapel Hill. We also hope to visit Maple View Farm this year, as well as plan a visit to the Weather Station. To ensure successful outings, there are a few guidelines we
must adhere to.
- As outlined in the Parent Handbook on page 11, siblings
are absolutely not permitted to attend field trips. The attention of all chaperones must be devoted solely to the kindergarten children in their care.
- Per state law, all children must travel in a booster
seat. Please drop off a clearly labeled seat outside of the classroom for your child the morning of the field trip.
- Please be prepared in advance with sufficient fuel for a
trip you’ve volunteered to drive for.
- If you must cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.
- Please remember that all children should enjoy the same
field trip. Please do not provide special souvenirs or snacks for children riding in your vehicle.
- Please follow all directions given to you specific to
the trip you are chaperoning.

possible to enrich our curriculum with off campus activities.
