In this day and age in which we live, Womanhood is being attacked from so many sources. If you strive to be a Godly woman you can be sure that Satan will come against you just as he did Eve in the Garden of Eden. We will try to look at some of the ways that we are being undermined and examine them by Gods word. Lets take the home for example, In the Bible, in Titus Chapter 2 verse 5, it says that a woman should be a keeper at home. This is a sore spot with most people today because the world has so many things to offer you if you work outside the home. The whole mindset that Satan has laid for the modern woman is to get her out of the home, away from the things of God , away from her husband and away from the children. Divorce is running rampant, children are left to daycare centers, babysitters or just at home alone. Dear Mother, God told you to be a keeper at home not just a keeper of the home. This does not mean we have to stay at home and cant go anywhere, but it does mean that the home is where our job for God begins. In Titus chapter 2 verse 4 ,we are told to love our husbands and our children. Proverbs 31 verse 10,says "who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." In the Garden when Satan came to Eve he said "Yea hath God said" (Genesis chapter 3 verse 1) The first thing he did was to try to get her to question the Word of God. Yea hath God said is still what the devil is saying to women today. He is saying it through the media , the clothing designers, other women and even the liberal preachers in the pulpits across our country because they may lose members or their positions. They have agreed with Satan and said "Yea hath God said" and the women in our churches are dressed like the world, live like the world and act like the world.
Modest apparel? In 1 timothy chapter 2 verse 9 it says" In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel"… It is the few women in this world that dress modestly, It was the other way around fifty or more years ago. Here again is yea hath God said, The media and the clothing designers are portraying the woman as the perfect picture of ungodliness, playing right into Satan’s hand. You can not go into the grocery store, the mall or any other public place without seeing an ungodly dressed woman or teenager. Nudity is the norm. It is not only the young people that are dressed that way, it is even the Grandmothers! Low cut dresses, skin tight pants, unbuttoned shirts. Gods standards of separation have been turned upside down. When Christian women and mothers don’t dress the way that pleases our Lord, how are they going to be an example to their children, or a witness for Christ.
Dear Woman we have been lied to, we have been fed a line. Satan is still saying "yea hath God said", Get back to Gods word, pray and strive to be a Christian woman that pleases God.
We have been called old fashioned and behind the times by our friends and families for being homemakers and dressing modestly. Let’s not be ashamed to stand for righteousness.
